Tent, van or Tiny Home?

The Tiny House on Wheels

We are super excited about the latest addition to our accommodation offerings.

Some clever local colleagues have just established a beautifully appointed THOW (Tiny House on Wheels) on our property – offering a wonderful accommodation option to our existing campsites.

You can read all about the River Tiny by Eden Escapes here. Whilst this is a separate business to our own, we are keen to offer this as a wonderful option for people taking our tours.

We have 3 beautiful campsites – all close to the river – available for booking through our friends at HipCamp. Just go to “Kiah Wilderness Camp” and check out the options available.

All sites have access to the river from our private property.

Riverfront is our most popular and best equipped site. It is a huge, level, grassy site and has been described as being “like a bowling green”.

Not only that but it also offers:

  • a composting toilet (that smells nice!)
  • potable drinking water on site
  • private access to a shallow, sandy section of river
  • 240V power (just added – additional fees apply)
  • plenty of shade, but also plenty of open space for kids’ games

Riverfront site

Big Paddock site is massive and level and great for bigger rigs. It doesn’t have much shade, but has a fire pit and enough space for at least 3 large vans or camper trailers.

This site has no toilet or water so is perfect for those who are fully self-sufficient. It is about 200m from the river with towering eucalypts up the hill behind.

Riverview has been through some changes since the bushfires burnt the vehicle access bridge in January 2020. It has many options but at present is best suited to tents or swags as we’ve only had time to put in a small walking bridge so far.

The site is level and grassy on one side of the creek – where you can set up a van or camper trailer. If you have a tent, we suggest setting up over the bridge.

Van/camper trailer owners often set up a gazebo or shelter on the other side so they get to enjoy the magnificent view up the river. The campfire pit is now relocated back to this original site.

Whichever works for you, we now have plenty of options for you to base yourself right here, enjoy the ambience of this beautiful property – and take a kayak tour as well!

Relaxing in camp

Kiah Escapes

We will be offering our own glamping experience again this year with accommodation for up to six (6) friends or family on our Riverfront site.

Camp in absolute comfort in a sturdy Oztent (made for 6 but we put only 2 in each tent). Complete with sturdy stretchers and comfortable mattresses, luxury linen and cosy sleeping bags.

Add on a fully set up camp kitchen with 240V power, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Even better, we can organise our local caterer to provide ready-made meals so all you have to do is reheat, kick back around the campfire, pour yourself a wine and relax.

Read all about the options available here.

To book a kayak tour, just go to the Book Now button and choose your option. Or give us a call on 0429 961047 if you have any queries.
