We’ve been seeing plenty of fish activity as the weather – and water – warms up. It’s great when we get a glimpse of a dusky flathead shoot out of its sandy hideaway just under the surface. Low tide reveals flathead ‘lies’ in the sand on several of the beaches on the river. We know where they like to sleep!

We’re lucky that our river was declared a Recreational Fishing Haven by NSW Fisheries many years ago, with no commercial fishing allowed.  And the shallows nearer the mouth stop all the noisy power vessels intruding on our space :).

Anyone wanting to fish recreationally in NSW must have a current Recreational Fishing Licence.

Want to throw a line in on one of our tours? No worries. Just give us a call.

We prefer the use of lures/soft plastics – no bait to be carried in our kayaks please. We are 10 minutes from Eden, 30 minutes from Merimbula, 50 minutes from Mallacoota.
